For some strange reason, we have never visited this aquarium before. Even after other people told us how wonderful it was, we still had not made it over to Tampa to visit. This past weekend we decided enough was enough, it was time to see this aquarium. I am so glad we did because it was overall a really nice aquarium.
The exhibits were laid out in zones: Wetlands, Bays and Beaches, Coral Reef and Ocean Commotion. Each area gave information and examples of creatures that would live there.
There was also a Splash Zone and Dolphin Cruise, neither of which we enjoyed. The only downside to this place was it was so horribly crowded that at times it was hard to even see the animals due to people crowding the exhibit. I imagine that weekdays are less crowded so we might have to come back again sometime during the week.
My favorite parts were this:
So cool to watch but no way could I imagine doing that! I did have fun with this guy who came up close and then splashed me:
We had a really nice day here and I do hope we can visit again sometime.

Dolphins At Play
One of my favorite things to do at Sea World is to watch the dolphins.
I especially like it when they are moving around in what I assume is more natural and less "trained" ways.
To watch them move through the water is a beautiful thing.
It might just be me thinking it should be so, but they just look happy to be moving about so freely.
Even if they aren't really smiling, they put a smile on my face. Dolphins are truly amazing creatures. It is always a wonderful thing when we can watch them, especially when we can get this close to them.

Other Animals at Sea World
Most people know there are whales and dolphin at Sea World. Some know there are manatees and sting rays. There are a few other animals here too. Just a few pictures of the "other animals" we like there.

Happy Holidays at Sea World
Today we visited Sea World, which was decked out for the holidays. It was such a treat to walk around hearing Christmas music while seeing all the decorations. It definitely put me in the holiday spirit.
We don't even have a Christmas tree this year. Nathan said he brought me to a place where there were tons of trees instead.
Beyond the fabulous decorations, there was holiday entertainment too. Christmas music:
An ice skating show:
Even Shamu's show was Holiday themed. I sat next to a cutie pie who made the show ten times better because she squealed with delight each time she saw the whales.
We had a great time and really loved the different shows! We hope to get back again to see the few shows we did miss before they change them out.

Another visit to Sea World
Another visit to Sea World and this time we saw the penguins:
The "mingos":
Beluga whales:
Florida Manatees:
Walrus:
And the brave teen rode Journey to Atlantis:
This has nothing to do with Sea World, but it's close by the campground we are staying at and I think it's pretty so I stopped to snap a picture of it.

Sea World~San Diego California
Today we visited Sea World here in San Diego. We saw the Killer whale show:
The Dolphin show:
the Sea Lion show:
and the Cirque De Le Mer show:
We also visited the touch tanks with the starfish and the bat rays. We visited the Sea Lion and seal tanks and Austin fed some sea lions.
As has been every single day since we've been here, the weather was perfect. It made for a very nice family day for us.
