Today my best laid plans were sabotaged by the guys due to something along the lines of this:
Yes, they were joking in the picture...not so much today. I have shared with others that although we are more used to each other from living this way, there is also this dynamic from being thisclosetogether that means when things escalate, they can do so very quickly and very fiercely. Today was a great example of that. Or the moon is in the part of the cycle where teens and grown men lose their mind. One or the other. Or both.
After the dust settled, I decided to salvage some of my day by editing pictures. So these were from yesterday, but are being posted today. Before we got stuck in the sand, this is what we were doing:
This place was breathtaking. One of my favorite places we've seen so far!
It is always amazing to me when we go to a place like this, how I completely forget about the rest of the world. I lose all sense of time, and am only aware of what is in front of me at that moment.
Because of that constant "now" awareness, I come away feeling refreshed, alive and renewed. It is what I imagine to be the natural version of a spa day.
Can't you just sense the serenity? Good thing too, because I needed it for today! LOL

heyyy-- if you come through Yakima, WA we'd love to meet you for lunch somewhere. There's a mammoth dig in Selah, WA that you might enjoy (not far from here)
Hi Lisa...we are not coming through Yakima but I have two ideas I'll toss out-we are going to Monroe next so if you are up for meeting somewhere we can do that or when we head back east we are taking 90...we might be able to meet for lunch then.

this place you were in reminds me of cathedral grove on vancouver island b.c., i hear you on the natural spa effect! you do feel so alive with the wonder of it all and can truly be in the moment and suck it all in...it's an awesome high eh?
Really enjoying your blog. I can relate to that 'rapid escalation in RV' type of circumstance. And this is for both the times when people feel connected and for the times when they feel disconnected. My two children and myself can really be like best friends or like sworn enemies. At least the children are getting practice in stringing insults together. Who knows when that may come in handy?
Yes, it really is a sworn enemy/best friends thing for sure. LOL at the stringing insults together.
