Hardee County Animal Refuge

Today we scooted over to Hardee County Animal Refuge. A year ago, we were able to hear a worker from a nearby refuge speak and we also were able to get up close and personal with the panther she brought along with her. We were so touched then that it has launched an interest in animal refuges and shelters. We didn't know what to expect or what animals we would see when we visited one in person.

Unfortunately, they were closing in ten minutes by the time we arrived so we went through very quickly. We will be back again next week for more time and pictures. The animal lover in our family is hoping that they have volunteer positions available for her.

Hello, Just a quick note. The pictures shown here are of the Hardee County Animal Refuge in Zolfo Spings. It is a wonderful place to visit. My family and I visit all the time and are yearly pass holders. Hardee County should be very proud of this place and support it all they can.

You are so right! Not sure how or where I got confused, but thank you for helping me to set the record straight. It is a great place!
