Live Oak, FL to Robertsdale, AL
We headed towards our second stop on our journey and landed in Robertsdale, AL where it is cold again. Before we left, Mike and Linda gifted us with two touching items. First, Mike noticed we were missing a bike tire cap when he was chatting with us and brought a replacement one over for us. Then they gave Austin some seasonings for popcorn which I'm very much excited about. I can't tell you how much it meant to me to receive such thoughtful gifts from them. It truly brightened my week and reminded me of the goodness to be found in the world in everyday things. They are really neat people and I hope we cross paths with them again. If you two happen to read this, thank you and I'd love a picture of you to add to the blog if possible. We just got our bikes back this past week and have a bike rack to carry them with now, so that is a treat to us. We used to bike ride together quite a bit and loved riding the Rails to Trails paths together so it's nice to have them back and hopefully we will ride together again.I have to share this, because it cracked me up so much. I know it isn't funny when you are the one being attacked by them, but given our encounters with the little buggers, I loved the humor in this:

Loved the fire ant sign and now I'm wondering where I can get one? My kids were amazed to arrive in Alabama and find that there are Fire ants but the amazement quickly turned to annoyance! Need I say more??? LOL
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I wish it were interactive because I'd love to hear more about the shaving cream, shampoo, etc. that you make. Would you mind emailing me and pointing me towards the recipe? I've read some directions, but if you have a deoderant that works, well then, I'd rather to try too many things that don't!:) No pressure, just if you have time.
Blessings,
Tonya
